RECYCLED GHOSTS

This interesting property we discovered in the vicinity of Paknam. The materials used come from monasteries. There, they were probably out of date. The developer has removed the stones, bricks and tiles there carefully to use them for his project again

I think that's a very good idea and implemented managed.  - But my wife was shocked completely. What if the used materials come from a crematorium?    -   Thais and their fear of ghosts!

Thus, there is nothing with my plan of a lovely new 'Sahla'. A real shame.

RAINY SEASON

Contrary to popular assumption prevails in Thailand not only sweetness and light. Depending on the province and the ocean side prevails at certain seasons quite an extensive rainy season. Hours of violent rainstorms are not uncommon.
Not just once, we experienced thirty-six hours continuous rain. Normal life comes to succumb to. All you need then is a good book. And because the rains are usually accompanied by long periods of power outages - you need some candles or in today's times battery-powered LED lights. Such a shower of rain can sometimes be very comfortable and romantic.

We know how to enjoy this time.

ELEPHANT RIDING

Just in time before the Water-Festival 'Songkran'  a courageous entrepreneur has put his business idea into reality.  Right at the entrance to the village of Ban Khomu he has beaten a game trail in the jungle. Courageous contemporaries can explore these on the backs of the elderly elephant.

Do not worry - his Burmese-Mahout is always there. For five hundred baht per person you can get some Jungle Book feeling.

CAUTION

Consumption of Puffer Fish

In the recent weeks and months we met again and again news of deaths caused by eating of Puffer Fish. Please resist the thrills and keep away from this 'delicacy'. Even if you are promised everything is harmless and the cook had already prepared dozens of these fish.

Do Not Eat - IT IS TOO DANGEROUS.

The South Marries The Northeath

A special experience was the wedding celebrations of our friends Nawa and Mec. While Nawa is from the south Mec was born in Isaan. They both work as lawyers in Bangkok. What a truly mixed bunch came from all parts of the country to celebrate the wedding.
And the two have come up with something really special to make this day unforgotten. In the morning, the Thai traditional rites were celebrated. In the evening a feast was followed by five hundred invited guests in the ballroom. We have enjoyed the day very much.

Good luck you two - We hope you never need a divorce lawyer.

NetLada-Resort - Grand Opening

Thailands Number One Massagist Dahr has for many years harbored a dream: to create a Resort in her own terms.

With the help of her family and many friends this dream was now reality.  After an eight-month construction period there was a big opening party at the turn of the year. The notables of the area were all represented.

The result is a modern, cozy Family-Resort admidst a wonderful garden plant. Located in Had Sairee.

Congratulations to Dahr and her husband Net. Great work

Our recommendation: Try Absolutely - inexpensive - very clean - to feel good
